New Zealand's national airline is Air New Zealand, and the company offer services from a number of regions around the world. Prices for a one way flight from Wellington to London Heathrow start at around £800. Other carriers such as Emirates, Qantas, British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa also offer flights to the country.

Flights from London to Wellington take approximately 25 hours, not including stop off times. New York to Wellington takes around 20 hours, not including required stop offs. Wellington's international airport offers taxis, shuttle coach and bus services into town, and facilities include bars, banks, gift shops and restaurants, amongst other things. Similar facilities can be expected of the other main airports in the country, at Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.
